In 8th grade we are researching`five emotions,these emotions are happy,sad,angry,scared and calm and finding character to fit the descriptions. I think this project is great because i think that this is giving us artistic freedom for us to choose what we get to draw.I think that this is one of my favorite assignments i have ever done for the three years i’ve been going to this school,I think that this is one of my favorite assignments because of the artistic expression we have and what we can do with it.
The thing that i am most excited for is to do storyboarding!! I am so excited to do storyboarding because it’s something that I have never done before and i feel like it will be an experience that will change the way i think of animation.Some other things that I am exciting about is to actually start animating i can not wait to start because i want to start creating my own animations from my own characters.
Some other things that we have done in here are perspective,perspective is basically the way you view something and what we do is that we is that we draw a horizon line which is where everything is placed and also a vanishing point which is where you see everything from.After we place those we start to draw buildings on the horizon to give the illusion of the buildings going backwards,but the number one rule is that everything goes to the vanishing point.
This is what i think animation class is all about and what it stands for.

Currently in 7th grade animation we are working on five characters all with different personality styles. We chose five characters that are more or less known to be categorized in these emotions : Happy, Angry, Scared/Nervous, Sad and Calm or neutral.
Before we complete the character there’s a lot of work to be done. To people who have short tempers or are impatient all of the work may seem annoying or unnecessary but to someone who takes art in general serious, it would be completely mandatory which means to me I would kinda have to be told to fix things seeing as I am sort of a lazy person.
To complete the character and it to be ‘exceptional’ you’d have to follow a few steps. Choosing a proper character that’s on your level of ability, breaking down the actual character to be sure they’re evenly proportioned, detail placement, size, and angle, and last but not least shading but also optional.
Previously so far in this year we’ve had to practice with circles and the basic shapes the basic shapes being ;Circle, triangle, square, rectangle, and oval. We’ve also had to work on a character his names is Chowder we had to break down, make sure our lines were ok, and then shade.

In animation you create your own characters. You make them become animated or make them become 'alive'.There are two types of ways you can do animation digital,and traditional. In order to make something 'move' you have to make 24 frames all different positions of the character.In the 6th grade animation class you start off with your basic shapes 2D shapes and then you start doing 3D shapes and then you start easing into the world of animation . What I personally like about the 6th grade animation class is that you start learning whole lot about perspective and forms.You learn not only about your drawings but about the tools you use this year I learned about different types of pencils my mind was blown!

Middle School Happenings
My experience in animation class with Ms. Wulff is great because when I was accepted I thought I wouldn’t know how to draw think the way I had to draw things and I would mess up on everything.But in the 3 week I had an project to do but I left my sketch book in math class I thought I lost it so I came the next day I had to redraw the 3D shapes in 2D that we learn on the second week the project was to draw 5 spheres,ellipse,cubes and the rest of the 3D shapes.And my experience in the school is perfect I made a lot of friends and all of my teachers are great they help me if I need any extra help on something when I do not gat it get.Also the school lunch is great because they have or than one food and it tastes great because we have a lot of different lunches every single day.In addition that is why I love the school so if someone ask my experience and why I love it that will be my answer for that questions.
