I think that the creative process that goes into create an animation is one that takes a lot of trial and error. Although not many people take animation seriously, I believe that it is the most important part of anyone's childhood. We all grow up watching Disney movies like The Lion King and although we don't realize it as little kids, we are raised by the ideas and mistakes characters like Simba and Scar make throughout these silly movies. I think that animating is a magical way for people to bring characters and events to life and keep them within the lines of a person's imagination, I prefer 2D animations for this reason. In 2D animation, everything works the way a person wants them to, without the help of a computer or any special effects. I feel that when a person creates an animation, they put in a piece of themselves in each frame and in every motion. Unlike fine art, where one visual is presented to a person to comprehend, animation finds a way to connect many people together and allows them to take part in the adventures of characters similar to them all, despite their age or difference in experiences. I think animation is also a beautiful platform for people who are not the greatest dancers, singers or actors to take part in expressing themselves the way they want to on the inside. Even though everything is set on paper or drawn on a computer screen, the smallest of details in an animation can be taken millions of years ago from a culture hidden unknown the rest of the world. I also like how not everyone keeps the same interpretation of an animation they did as children and the excitement some adults and teenagers feel when they discover something new and strange about a animated movie or tv show they saw years ago is something that makes me very happy. Animating is a wonderful way for backstage people to make their stories and themselves a part of someone else's life forever.
